At the Art and the City tour through Zurich West you arrived at the Steinfelsplatz with one of the highlights of this Zurich exhibition. It is the over dimensioned girl Vanessa by Alex Hanimann (CH, 1955, St.Gallen). Made after a real 18 years old girl, this chrome steel sculpture stands for the prototype of a modern girl. Behind her, you look at the former industrial area of the Steinfels soap manufacturer, founded 1830. Have a look at the tour here http://www.artregards.com/blog/?p=490

On a cold rainy day in Paris, France, by chance a couple meet on the street. She has been shopping. Possibly he is between business meetings. They seem to know each other, but their relationship is not clear. Is she happy and wanting to encourage their connection? Or perhaps skeptical, and still concerned about their past experiences? Or again, maybe she is unhappy and anxious to be on her way?

Homage to the Lennon-McCartney songwriting partnership, one of the most successful musical collaborations in history. A double portrait in Op art style (60s).
