Tea at Nan's series
'Rose Bowl' by Clare Haxby
I created this series with mixed media and collage and printmaking , inspired by visits to my grandmothers house in Yorkshire, England where my nan would teach me how to bake cakes. Afterwards we always picked fragrant tea roses from her abundant garden
''Unilocular Slope' was part of a large site specific installation 'Human Nature'.
I simplified microscopic images from the human body to very basic forms, stripping them of their colour and aesthetic beauty so that it was the multitude that would be initially noticed in this artificial landscape.
WÄCHTER DER ZEIT
Die Wächter der Zeit, mystische Skulpturen, die seit vielen Jahren durch Museen und Ausstellungen auf der Welt unterwegs sind, besuchen im Rahmen des diesjährigen FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS die Metropole Berlin. 5 leuchtende Skulpturen des Lichtkünstlers Manfred Kielnhofer begeben sich auf eine 12-Nächte andauernde Tournee durch die Hauptstadt. Jeden Abend machen 5 Wächter der Zeit an einem anderen prominenten Ort in Berlin Station - als Hüter und Beobachter von Zeit und Raum. Diese werden vom Künstler selbst und einigen Fotografen begleitet, die diese Welttournee dokumentieren.
TIME GUARDIANS
The guardians of time are five mystical sculptures who are travelling the worls museums and exhibitions. Exclusively for FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS they made their journey to the German capital. Each night they show up on a different spot in Berlin. This unique light project is created by Manfred Kielnhofer.
